Walk brochure:

For those just embarking or re-starting walking we have a Health Walk Programme brochure available, compiled by Ron Lawson, please ask for a copy.

The First Six Steps and Guidelines:

1

Before embarking on a Walking regime make sure you have the basic requirements of walking boots or stout shoes and protective clothing for all weather conditions.

2

Please walk at a pace that is comfortable for you, if you are struggling please tell your walk leader.

3

Please follow the Country Code.

4

Please notify your walk leader if you want to leave or feel unwell  during the walk.

5

Dogs are welcome (except on a mini bus excursion) on condition that they are kept on a lead for the duration of the walk. Bear in mind that many walks may have a number of stiles to get over.

Please Note
: Walkers take part at their own risk. CREW walk leaders are not responsible for any injury or accident that might occur before, during or after the walk. Walkers are reminded that, if needed, medication and glucose type drinks should be carried by the walker.
Please tell your walk leader before the walk if you have a diabetic condition or other ailments you feel he / she should know about.

Walkers are welcomed to CREW walking groups. It is stressed that we are not a rambling organisation and most of our walkers are  our members but do include family and friends of members.

However to maintain insurance status all walkers must agree to be an associate member of CREW and therefore also agree to be bound by any regulations in force and to also agree that their names and addresses are held on the secure CREW database.
